Entry Recommendations
We recommend that you complete the Certificate II in Salon Assistant before starting the Certificate III in Hairdressing.

Attendance Requirements (subject to change)
This course is studied 3 days a week and is a blend of classroom and online learning.

We recommend that you are interested in working with people, have good communication skills and a reasonable level of fitness to stand for long periods.

    Qualifications & Skills Covered

    Certificate III in Hairdressing (SHB30416)
    You will learn how to cut, colour, chemically reform and style your client's hair. You will also learn about client communication and service which includes discussing the needs of your client and styling according to their requirements. To complete the qualification you are required to complete all 21 core units and 7 elective units.

    Note: Students who successfully complete only one or more units of competency but not the full qualification are eligible to receive a Statement of Attainment.
