The National Centre for Vocational Education Research (NCVER) Student Outcomes Survey findings in 2023 showed that 90.3% of TAFE SA graduates were satisfied with the overall quality of their training. Nationally, this compared to 89.0% across all TAFE Institutes and 89.0% across all VET providers. In addition, 86.0% of TAFE SA graduates achieved their main reason for doing the training, compared to 86.6% across all TAFE institutes and 84.6% across all VET providers.

TAFE SA’s status as a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) and Institute of Higher Education (IHE) is managed through the National Regulators, Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA) and the Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency (TEQSA). It is a requirement of registration with ASQA and TEQSA that TAFE SA demonstrates ongoing compliance with all requirements of the VET Quality Framework and the Higher Education Standards Framework. Compliance is assessed though regular audits.
ASQA has awarded TAFE SA re-registration as a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) and Commonwealth Register of Institutions and Courses for Overseas Students (CRICOS) provider for a period of seven years, following implementation of extensive quality improvements across the organisation.
It is the first time that TAFE SA has received this length of registration from ASQA.
As TAFE SA is also a Higher Education Provider, its CRICOS registration is also regulated by TEQSA. TEQSA has also renewed TAFE SA’s registration on CRICOS for seven years.
