“I had working experience in IT industry back in Malaysia. After moving to Adelaide, I was having trouble applying for an IT role because I didn’t have local IT experience. While browsing through IT courses on the TAFE SA website, I came across the partnership with DXC Technology for students to gain work experiences through a work placement program. I enrolled without hesitation.
The course units not only include technical troubleshooting skills which I get to apply into practice at DXC, it also includes soft skills such as customer service and the lifecycle of IT requests.”

Malicious cyber activity is growing year on year and the Australian cyber security industry is tipped to triple in size over the next decade. TAFE SA is pleased to offer the Certificate IV in Cyber Security (22603VIC).
Developed in conjunction with the Australian Cyber Security Growth Network, this accredited course will enable you to walk away with a foundation knowledge and technical skill set to seek employment as a cyber security professional or begin a path to further study at university.
To make sure South Australian’s are ahead of the game, TAFE SA has established a state-of the-art Training Security Operations Centre, (TSOC), to deliver training to help combat the global surge in malicious cyber activity. Here you will learn how to prevent cyber security attacks within this hands-on simulated training environment.
TSOC is the first of its kind in the state’s VET sector, with a red ‘attack’ and a blue ‘defence’ room, designed to replicate authentic scenarios, simulations, testing opportunities and interaction with other TSOC’s nationwide. The facility is equipped with the latest hardware and software sourced from industry partners such as CISCO, Microsoft, Fortinet, Splunk, IBM, HP, Aruba, VMWare, AWS, and Palo Alto.
VET study also counts towards the South Australian Certificate of Education (SACE). It’s the perfect pathway into further IT study at TAFE SA, or it can prepare you for employment, an apprenticeship or traineeship. Our short courses provide a taste of the information technology industry, providing a good understanding of the scope and career options the industry can offer you.
Our teaching practices include workshops, tutorials, and demonstrations, online spaces, forums, electronic portfolios, online classes and face-to-face delivery.
