Acting auditions will be held for the Advanced Diploma of Performing Arts (Acting)  10906NAT on the dates listed below:

Live Auditions

DATES:  Monday 27 November and Monday 11 December 2023

TIMES: Auditions will commence at 9.00am sharp on each day. Please keep the whole day free for your audition. 

The morning session will consist of warmups and group work, followed by individual monologue presentations. In the afternoon, if requested, you will be called back for a further audition where we will re-work one of your monologues. You may also have an individual interview at this time. 

VENUE:  Adelaide College of the Arts, 39 Light Square, Adelaide, 3rd Floor, Movement Studio (Room 3.43).

NEXT STEPS:

  1. Visit tafesa.edu.au and search ‘Advanced Diploma of Performing Arts (Acting)’. Click the green Apply Now button, complete your details and submit your application.
  2. You will receive an email to book your audition. Once this is done, you will be sent a confirmation email with the Acting Audition Guide, Audition Selection Form and Audition Selection Criteria.
  3. You will need to prepare the following to audition:
  • Please learn by heart two contrasting monologues (One dramatic, one comedy, a classic or contemporary piece). One of the pieces must be from the Adelaide College of the Arts monologue booklet. The other can be your own choice.
  • Monologues need to be between 2 - 3 minutes in length.

Video Auditions

(Interstate applicants only)

The video audition submission must contain 2 sections:

SECTION 1:  Two contrasting monologues  (one dramatic, one comedy, a classic or contemporary piece).
One of the pieces must be from the Adelaide College of the Arts monologue booklet. The other can be your own choice. Monologues need to be between 2 - 3 minutes in length.

SECTION 2:  A brief chat to the camera telling us something about yourself and your circumstances and why you’d like to study with us (not more than 2 minutes).
Video tips: Phone-camera quality is sufficient if used well; avoid back-lighting; try to use some natural light; shoot indoors to diminish ambient noise; don’t wear striped clothes, or other clothes that distract; wear minimal or no makeup.
Shot from head to chest (medium close-up).

SUBMISSION DATES

Video submission date: Monday 5 December 2023. Applicant may receive a follow up interview with  staff online. Late video submission date: Monday 9 January 2024. Applicant may receive a follow up interview with staff online.
All video submissions are accepted via email to TAFE SA Admission.
