If you are a beginner level (International Second Language Proficiency Rating (ISLPR) entry level 0+ in speaking, listening, reading and writing) migrant for whom English is an additional language, this course will help you to communicate orally and in writing at a basic level of English.

    This course is responsive to individual needs and is taught by teachers with wide experience and specialist skills in this area. This course is designed to assist beginner level migrants (International Second Language Proficiency Rating (ISLPR) entry level 0+ in speaking, listening, reading and writing) for whom English is an additional language, to communicate orally and in writing at a basic level of English. To complete the qualification, you are required to complete all 5 core units and 4 elective units.

    Note: Students who successfully complete only one or more units of competency but not the full qualification are eligible to receive a Statement of Attainment.
