This course is specifically designed for candidates who are employed with the Department for Education.

  • You must be employed by the Department for Education

Attendance Requirements (subject to change)

  • Delivery will be a combination of online and face to face sessions.
  • There is face to face workshops that you will need to attend over the duration of the course – 1 day in Semester 1, 2 full days in Semester 2 and 4 full days in Semester 3/Semester 4.

Mandatory Requirements
Collaborate is a web-based online classroom collaboration tool that acts as a real-time virtual classroom. Students and lecturer will interact over the internet. You do not need to install any software and you can access the classroom from any computer that has internet connection, or a mobile telephone. That means you do not have to be in the same room together. You can access it from anywhere you have internet and a computer.

    This qualification covers cultural competence, health and safety, food and drink, respectful relationships, learning frameworks, holistic development, compliance, nurturing creativity, curriculum and workplace safety. To complete the qualification you are required to complete all 12 core units and 3 elective units.

    Note: Students who successfully complete only one or more units of competency but not the full qualification are eligible to receive a Statement of Attainment.
