Description

Get your motor running with an apprenticeship in motorcycle mechanics at TAFE SA. The course covers a wide range of bikes including touring and sports bikes, racing motorcycles, dirt bikes, scooters, and quad bikes. Gain the skills you need to inspect, service and repair motorcycle engines, and diagnose and repair electronic engine management systems including fuel injection along with problems with fuel, braking, cooling, and steering systems. You’ll know what to do and how to use the right tools and equipment for the job.     Certificate III in Motorcycle Mechanical Technology (AUR30820)
    This course covers workplace safety, electrical circuits, engine management systems, batteries and jump-starting, ignition systems, braking systems, suspension systems, steering systems, motorcycle engines, diagnostic procedures and maintaining tools and equipment. To complete the qualification you are required to complete all 23 core units and 13 elective units.

    Note: Students who successfully complete only one or more units of competency but not the full qualification are eligible to receive a Statement of Attainment.
