Description

Learn how to work with the natural environment to create pleasing, useful, well planned spaces. If you’re keen to become an apprentice landscaper, work in parks and gardens, or become part of the landscape construction sector of the horticulture industry, this course is for you. Build your practical knowledge and skills relating to a range of landscape and construction practices including project costing, drainage systems, paving, plants and soils, and the construction of a range of landscape features. This course is part of the Fee Free TAFE initiative. Fee Free TAFE and vocational education is a joint initiative of the Australian and South Australian Governments providing tuition-free training places to students wanting to train, retrain or upskill.     You will learn about work health and safety, landscaping techniques and practices, project costing, drainage, plants and soils. To complete the qualification you are required to complete all 10 core units and 7 elective units.
