This course is recommended for those working in or wanting to work in the public sector in autonomous roles and needing to be multiskilled or working in small or regional organisations. We recommend that you have a minimum of Year 11, a Certificate III or 6 months work experience before starting this course.

    When studying this course you will gain skills and knowledge in a range of government processes and policy implementation to comply with legislation. You will understand the values and principles of the public sector including valuing diversity and providing services to clients. Specialist electives are available in a range of fields that can be tailored to specific job roles or business contexts. To complete the qualification you are required to complete all 4 core units and 11 elective units.
