Employment Outcomes
Job roles in established organisations may include assistant designers, assistant product developers, patternmakers, and production supervisors. In the business area, roles may include assistant positions in marketing, public relations, buying and visual merchandising. Individuals may also be self-employed as designers.

This qualification is intended for assistant design and product development roles in the fashion industry, as well as assistant roles associated with managing fashion product as part of a fashion enterprise. Skills include design and product development, as well as technical production skills to support management and fashion businesses. To complete the qualification you are required to complete all 9 core units and 16 elective units.
Note: Students who successfully complete only one or more units of competency but not the full qualification are eligible to receive a Statement of Attainment.
