TAFE SA’s Adelaide College of the Arts is one of Australia’s leading centres of excellence in film, TV and game art. Areas of study include computer generated imagery (CGI) and visual effects; digital media; graphic design and printing; sound production; performing arts; fashion design; technical production; commercial photography; web development; and visual arts and craft. TAFE SA’s Regency International Centre for Hospitality, Tourism and Food Studies is an integral part of South Australia’s premium food and wine industry. It’s home to the award-winning Campus Brewery and Australia’s only Artisan Cheese Academy. It also features training restaurants, bars, kitchens, food testing laboratories, the Coffee Academy and wine-tasting lecture theatres. Study tour participants come from all over the world to learn a huge variety of skills in fields such as chocolate making, smallgoods manufacturing, artisan bread making and halal butchery. TAFE SA offers hands-on experiences to boost your understanding of the Australian health, aged care and childcare systems. Our campuses have specialist health, dental and nursing skills labs. Study tours can include visits to aged care facilities, pathology collection centres, hospitals and the blood bank.
Study tour participants can learn about administration, human resources, bookkeeping, accounting, marketing, retailing, visual merchandising, management and business operations. TAFE SA’s simulated business network comprises members from more than 20 training organisations from around Australia. We have simulated businesses established in industries including retail, tourism, radio, medical and manufacturing. They trade with each other and within the simulated business network to engage the learner and build work-ready skills. Our IT programs can package study tours in software, hardware, programming, networking, web development, and digital media.
TAFE SA’s Mining, Engineering and Transport Centre is home to the latest technologies, including high-tech dyno facilities for light and heavy vehicles; automotive spray painting and spot repair booths; 5S welding environments; mining training practice drill rig and drill pad; land information systems survey equipment and software; advanced manufacturing 3D scanning and printing; and CNC controlled mills, guillotines and plasma cutters. Study tours can be tailored from from a range of program areas including fabrication and welding; electronics; robotics; automotive technologies; mining and surveying; engineering mechanical trades; and engineering design and drafting.
Sports coaching, fitness and recreation management are strong vocational disciplines in Australia. TAFE SA can package tours that incorporate fitness training, a wide range of sports, kayaking or hiking. Tours of fitness centres, outdoor sporting grounds, aquatic centres and community recreation centres can be included.
TAFE SA’s Tonsley campus is an award-winning conversion of a former car manufacturing plant. The campus features a multi-storey simulated construction site and an array of practical training areas. We maintain close relationships with South Australian industry stakeholders to keep our programs up-to-date and relevant. Trade areas include carpentry, bricklaying, painting and decorating, refrigeration, plumbing, water operations and electrotechnology.
Study wine, viticulture and food production in some of the most picturesque and famous wine regions in the world. Experience the wineries of the Barossa Valley, cellar door sales in the Clare Valley, or wine grape growing in the Coonawarra region. Our tours can cover vineyard management, wine production, bottling, packaging and warehousing, cellar door design, wine marketing and sales, as well as food production and dairy operations.
We can deliver engaging, hands-on sessions that incorporate elements from your choice of program areas. TAFE SA can also offer units of accredited training from various areas of study, including our popular barista training, food safety and first aid.
TAFE SA offers the English for Academic Purposes (EAP) study tour at the TAFE SA English Language Centre. Typical areas covered include formal and informal English, grammar, pronunciation, academic speaking and listening, oral presentations, academic reading and writing, essay writing and research skills. Tours are arranged to allow students to experience campuses and programs at other campuses besides the Adelaide campus.

There are a number of accommodation options for study tour participants. TAFE SA Regency International House provides villa accommodation next door to our Regency Park campus. Each villa houses four students with a shared bathroom. Kitchen, laundry and recreation facilities are provided. Regency International House’s dining room provides three meals a day, seven days a week. Special menus are available to meet cultural and dietary needs.Alternatively, many study tour participants opt to stay with an Australian host family during their stay. TAFE SA can provide homestay accommodation to students seeking this experience. Homestays provide international students with a cultural and lifestyle experience and many students make life-long friends with their hosts.
