This course will train participants to provide rescue and resuscitation to a person who has stopped breathing or is unconscious due to electrical shock. Gain skills in managing the danger of accidental electrocution and learn more about WHS requirements, expectations of a safety observer, and use of a low voltage rescue kit. The following prerequisite qualifications or units must be met to undertake this training: HLTAID009 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (co-delivered and assessed with UETDRMP007) AND UEECD0007 Apply work health and safety regulations, codes & practices in the workplace OR UETDREL006 Work safely in the vicinity of live electrical apparatus as a non-electrical worker OR An existing ESI (electrical service industry) or Electrotechnology qualification or equivalent. TAFE SA will be delivering training in HLTAID009 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation which will be co-delivered and assessed with UETDRMP007 – Perform rescue from a live low voltage panel. Participants requiring pre-requisite unit UEECD0007 Apply work health and safety regulations, codes & practices in the workplace or UETDREL006 Work safely in the vicinity of live electrical apparatus as a non-electrical worker will need to complete their pre-requisite unit with another registered training provider prior to the TAFE SA Low Voltage Rescue & CPR unit. Evidence of prior training must be provided for the pre-requisites upon enrolment, when registering into this course please upload either an Academic Transcript or TAFE Trade Certificate listing passes for pre-requisite units and/or current Electrical Workers Trade license. On successful completion of the course, you will be issued with a Statement of Attainment. CITB INFORMATION This course is eligible for CITB funding. The CITB is a whole-of-industry led organisation that provides support to attract, train and retain South Australian building and construction workers by providing leadership in training and skills development. Each financial year, Eligible Persons with an approved CITB number can obtain up to $3,000 of training subsidies off any CITB endorsed short course, with a CITB endorsed training provider. Upon receipt of enrolment, students will be sent an email with further instructions on claiming the CITB rebate. You do not need to provide your CITB number at the time of enrolment. At the successful completion of a CITB eligible course, eligible CITB students will be refunded with the CITB subsidy. The subsidy will be paid to whoever paid for the course. TAFE SA cannot claim your refund (and therefore cannot reimburse you the funded amount) prior to the finish date. All CITB refunds will be credited against the student or third-party account and cannot be refunded back to credit cards. Rebate refunds will be processed within 60 days of course completion (this timeframe is to allow for assessment submission, marking and processing). The CITB number you provide to TAFE SA must belong to the individual participant – you cannot use the CITB number of another person or company.
