This course will develop a student’s knowledge and understanding required to recognise, identify and monitor a variety of vine disorders and damage, and recommend and implement preventive or corrective action. Students will then be equipped with the training and skills to apply appropriate insecticides and fungicides for the control of plant pests and diseases in a viticulture setting. **IMPORTANT** Interested students must contact lecturer Kirsty Waller via email Kirsty.Waller@tafesa.edu.au or phone (M: 0412 964 624 | T +61 (8) 8562 0545) prior to enrolling to discuss course requirements. This is important to ensure students have access to appropriate workplace setting and are aware of the resources and equipment they will be required to provide themselves and at their own cost prior to undertaking this course. Once registered additional support via phone or email will be available to support students studying externally. Students must have access and provide their own appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Upon completion, students may be eligible to apply for a Pest Control License.
