TAESS00031 - Design and Deliver E-Learning Skill Set

Description

This skill set addresses the skills and knowledge required for those who design and deliver e-learning in online and remote learning environments.

This skill set is for experienced trainers and assessors who are currently working in a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) as a trainer and assessor. You are required to have access to workplace training and assessment documentation (such as organisational procedures, training materials and training and assessment strategies).

These units provide credit towards the TAE50122 Diploma of Vocational Education and Training and other qualifications that allow for selection of these units.

You will need to dedicate 10-15 hours per week towards your studies to successfully complete this course. This may vary depending on your digital literacy skills.

  • You will need to have good computer skills.

    Completion of the Certificate IV in Training & Assessment - TAE40116 or equivalent (you will need to attach a copy of your certificate or academic transcript).

    Completion of the Training Account Consent Form - you are required to upload a completed form at the time of enrolment. You can download a copy of the form under the Files & Resources tab below.

    This course is fee free via a joint initiative of the Australian and South Australian Governments and you must meet criteria to be eligible for a fee free place.
  • Facilitate e-learning (TAEDEL511)

    Design and Develop e-learning resources (TAEDES513)

  • During this course participants will design and develop e-learning resources using the TAFE SA LEARN Learning Management System (LMS). Participants will deliver online training sessions using the e-learning resources developed.

Short Course Delivery Locations Some short courses can provide accreditation for industry-specific registration, while others merely provide skills and knowledge in the subject area. Concession prices are available for some courses.

Online sessions will be recorded for students to watch if they are not able to attend the blackboard sessions.

Note

Online sessions will be recorded. What is a Virtual Classroom? A virtual classroom is when students learn with a lecturer and other students via web conferencing technology as part of a virtual classroom. Lecturers lead a virtual classroom that is accessed by students in different locations at the same time. TAFE SA currently use Collaborate. You will need access to a computer and the internet for this course or you can use the facilities at your local TAFE SA campus. You do not need to install any software and you can access the classroom from any computer that has an internet connection, or a mobile telephone. You will be provided with the link to the classroom from your lecturer prior to the start date.
