The bookkeeping essentials skills course is designed for small business owners, job seekers, students and graduates seeking part-time or entry level employment in the areas of accounting, bookkeeping, business and financial services. This course provides job seekers who do not have previous work experience and/or practical work skills and knowledge sought by employers and recruitment agencies. This course is designed to support gaining entry level employment in the Accounting and Bookkeeping job roles including, accounts payable officer, accounts receivable officer, store keeper, inventory manager, stock control officer, contracted bookkeeper and accounts supervisor. Part 1 of this course provides practical vocational skills in areas including business tax calculations and day to day computerised bookkeeping (XERO). Students will not be required to purchase textbooks. All resources will be available online. This course consists of a written and practical assessment.
