Description
Justices of the Peace (JP) provide an important service to the community and in consultation and collaboration with the South Australian Attorney-General’s department, this online short course has been developed for those considering applying to become a JP or for those who are already a JP and would like to refresh their knowledge and skills.
This online course is self-paced, and participants will have 6 weeks to complete, from the date that access to the online content is provided. Your progress will be assessed by the completion of multiple choice and short answer questions.
Successful completion of this course does not entitle you to be appointed as a Justice of the Peace. An application must be made to the Justice of the Peace Services, which is part of the South Australian Attorney-General’s Department. A person must successfully complete the application process before an appointment as a Justice of the Peace will be made, and this online course explains the process in detail to assist you with your application.
For organisations that wish to pay the student fees for this course and are unable to pay by credit card via the website, please contact the Short Course team via email on ShortCourses@tafesa.edu.au to organise a Third Party Payment invoice.
