This unit specifies the outcomes required for the operation of a powered industrial truck equipped with a mast and an elevating load carriage to which is attached a pair of fork arms or other attachment, for licensing purposes. This unit requires the operator to be able to plan the work, conduct routine checks on the forklift, shift loads in a safe manner and shut down and secure the equipment after completion of operations. This unit is based on the National Standard for Licensing Persons Performing High Risk Work. On successful completion of the course, you will be issued with a Statement of Attainment. Your licence will be issued via SafeWork SA and fees will apply. Contact SafeWork SA for further details. For organisations that wish to pay the student fees for this course and are unable to pay by credit card via the website, please contact the Short Course team via email at ShortCourses@tafesa.edu.au to organise a Third Party Payment invoice. CITB INFORMATION This course is eligible for CITB funding. The CITB is a whole-of-industry led organisation that provides support to attract, train and retain South Australian building and construction workers by providing leadership in training and skills development. Each financial year, Eligible Persons with an approved CITB number can obtain up to $3,000 of training subsidies off any CITB endorsed short course, with a CITB endorsed training provider. Upon receipt of enrolment, students will be sent an email with further instructions on claiming the CITB rebate. You do not need to provide your CITB number at the time of enrolment. At the successful completion of a CITB eligible course, eligible CITB students will be refunded with the CITB subsidy. The subsidy will be paid to whoever paid for the course. TAFE SA cannot claim your refund (and therefore cannot reimburse you the funded amount) prior to the finish date.
