  • Employment Outcomes

    Employment outcomes are to gain an apprenticeship in Hairdressing, continue studying the Certificate III in Hairdressing or work as a Salon assistant in the retail or beauty industry.

    Note: Completion of a TAFE SA course does not guarantee an employment outcome. Formal requirements other than educational qualifications (eg licensing, professional registration), may apply to some occupations.

    Certificate II in Salon Assistant
    Develop your skills and knowledge in salon assisting in greeting and preparing for clients, shampooing and basin services, head and shoulder massage techniques. Progress to practical skills in apply hair colour, braiding and drying hair to shape whilst working, communicating as part of a salon team and contributing to health and safety. Gain skills to efficiently receive and handle stock, producing visual merchandising displays and effectively selling retail to the customer. To complete the qualification you are required to complete all 8 core units and 4 elective units.
