  • Employment Outcomes

    New graduates will work as technicians under limited supervision in the collection, processing and presentation of data in the areas of mining, engineering, construction, hydrography, aerial mapping, geographic information systems and land surveying.

    This course provides specialist skills and knowledge in all aspects of surveying. A strong practical focus gives learners extensive skills in the use of a wide range of surveying and precision GPS equipment in a range of industry contexts. In the classroom, students gain valuable skills in leading surveying and engineering software applications and lectures provide the background to survey theory and mathematics. To complete the qualification you are required to complete all 8 core units plus 8 electives.
