Description

This course assists students in developing the skills and knowledge required to identify behaviours and interact safely with animals, undertake basic animal first aid and promote positive wellbeing in animal care workplaces. Students will work with multiple animal species.

Year 12 Certificate II in Animal Care is a preferred pre-requisite for this course.

Other Details

TAFE SA will provide all PPE required. Animal handling and husbandry routines are included in this skill cluster; therefore, TAFE SA must be informed of animal phobias and/or allergies prior to the commencement of the course. Attracts 20 Stage 2 SACE Credits.
